SAN BENILDO showed too much class in beating Philippine Cultural  High School,104-59, last Tuesday in the 17 years old and under category in the  2017 Youth Basketball Cup Summer Showdown at the DPS covered courts in Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City. 

“Best Player of the Game” awardee  Jim Aniceto led the way for San Benildo with 20 points, five assists and  four steals  despite PCHS’s tight defense.
In the 12-under  bracket, Claret School humbled PCHS, 99-33, and Santo Nino overwhelmed Vikaw, 78-63.
Leiron San Jose finished with 19 points, four assists and three steals for Claret.
Jules Cruz fired nine points to lead Sto. Nino over Vikaw.
Cruz, voted as “Best Player of the Game”, also had five rebounds and three blocks.  
The YBC is organized by MBR Sports of  PBA player-turned-coach Rensy Bajar and supported by former  Sen. Nikki Coseteng and sponsored  by Gerry’s Grill, Pocari Sweat, Hygenix, Splash International, Tom’s World,  Rebisco, Jecar,  Fresh Cut Barber Shop and Jollibee.
