TRINITY University of Asia is returning to collegiate basketball with veteran coach Alvin Grey at the helm.

Grey,  who worked with several brilliant coaches in both professional and collegiate leagues,  was  formally appointed as head coach of the Quezon City-based team in time for the opening of  the Inter Scholastic Athletic Association (ISAA) Season 10  basketball tournament  at  the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Stallions hope to make an immediate impact in the ISAA under Grey.

"It's a big honor for me to handle Trinity. Nagpapasalamat ako sa tiwalang ibinigay nila sa akin," said Grey in an interview with People's Tonight.

“Sa ISAA,  gagawin namin ang lahat ng aming makakaya para maging maganda ang pagsali ng Trinity. Karamihan bago  ang mga players ko,  pero palaban ang mga ito,” added Grey,  who served as  an assistant coach of PBA legend Pido Jarencio in University of Santo Tomas in the UAAP and MBL.

Grey, who is also part of the coaching staff of the Arellano University in the NCAA,  thanked Gerry's Grill of businessman-sportsman Jerome Ngo and Bren Sports for their support to the team.

Trinity joined the NCAA in 1985 and the CUSA in 2001.

Aside from Trinity, the other member-teams of ISAA are FEATI University, La Consolacion  College-Manila,  Manila Adventist College,  Manila Tytana College,  PATTS College of Aeronautics,  Philippine Women's University, St. Dominic College of Asia, Immaculada Concepcion College and Treston International College.
