(JCSGO Gym)

12 noon  -- Marinerong Pilipino vs. Gamboa

2 p.m. -- Wang’s vs. CEU

ZARK’S Burgers-Lyceum of the Philippines University rebounded from a disappointing loss the last
time out with an emphatic 108-94 win over Go for Gold yesterday in the PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup
at the JCSGO Gym.

The Jawbreakers built a couple of 27-point leads in the third period and never looked back
to end a three-game losing skid.

Now with a 5-4 card, Zark’s is now just half-a-game behind joint fifth placers Wang’s
Ballclub-Letran and Gamboa Coffee Mix-St. Clare (5-3) in the race for the last quarterfinals slot.

The Jawbreakers also erased the stigma of last Thursday’s 106-107 overtime loss to the
Coffee Lovers.

Earlier, University of Perpetual Help System drew a 20-20 outing from Nigerian slotman
Prince Eze to defeat AMA Online Education, 89-81, and stay in the playoff hunt.

The defeat was fatal for the Scratchers (4-6), as they found themselves two games behind
the Couriers and the Coffee Lovers.

With Zark’s and Wang’s holding the tiebreaker, Go for Gold’s remaining hope to make it to
the playoffs is to beat AMA on April 2 and for Gamboa to drop its last three matches to nab the
No. 6 slot.

CJ Perez led the Jawbreakers with 23 points while Cameroonian center Mike Nzeusseu added
21 points.

Eze scored 22 points and grabbed 20 rebounds as the Altas improved to 3-5 overall, now
just two games behind in the race for the last quarters berth.

Rey Peralta added 17 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Edgar Charcos had 13
points, eight assists and six rebounds for Perpetual Help.
