DILIMAN College, one of the most successful collegiate teams in recent years, is moving up.

To be handled by multi-titled coach Rensy Bajar and supported by former Sen. Nikki Coseteng, the Blue Dragons are setting the sights on the next conference of the PBA D-League later this year.

Diliman College will now hold regular tryouts for its basketball team starting tomorrow (Wednesday, June 27) at 3 p.m. at the Diliman Preparatory School gym in Commonwealth Ave., Quezon City.

“This is a good opportunity for young and talented players to join our team and play in the PBA D-League,” said Bajar, who is also the first assistant coach of PBA team Globalport Batang Pier.

“We have committed to join the PBA D-League and we intend to form a strong and competitive team capable of holding its own against the more established teams in the league,” added Bajar, who is widely credited for bringing a winning tradition to the Quezon City-based team.

The tryout is open to all players 24 years old and below every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3 p.m., according to Bajar.

The Blue Dragons’ campaign will be supported by Gerry’s Grill, headed by businesman-sportsman Jerome Ngo and Wilson Sia, and MBR Sports.
