M7, M & G outplay rivals in Q-Cup

M7-COFFEE Mix outclassed Team ABC, 90-43, and M & G Meatshop bested Pioneers, 104-90, in two Seniors A matches in MariQuina Basketball League (Q Cup) at the Parang Playground Court in Marikina City last Oct. 20.

John Eric Eco led a balanced scoring attack with 21 points in M7-Coffee  Mix’s win over Team ABC.

M & G Meatshop leaned on Alex Testado's 28 points to beat Pioneers and bounce back from its 88-96 setback to M7-Coffee Mix last Oct. 14.

In Juniors A, Drews outsteadied Cardinals, 88-87,  behind Immanuel Viesca's 28 points; and Rising Stars subdued Victory Splash Bros, 85-83, behind Ace Russell Tiamzon's 20 markers.

Last Oct. 14,  M7-Coffee Mix defeated M & G Meatshop, 96-88, and M7-Apparels demolished Sampville, 109-60.

Julius Taguic scattered 18 points to lead M7-Coffee Mix to victory over M&G Meatshop in Seniors A encounter.

The tournament is a project of Cong. Miro Quimbo and Kap.Tatang Zulueta of Barangay Parang as part of their sports develoment program.

Q Cup Commissioner Sonny Manucat said  trophies and cash prizes are at stake in the  tournament with the champion getting P15,000.

The second and third placers will receive P10,000  and P5,000, respectively.
