HO Chi Minh, Vietnam  -- Ready and confident.

This is how Team Pilipinas, represented by the Pinoy Youth Dreamers, described its condition upon its arrival to compete in the first Dreamers  International 3x3 Basketball Championship here Friday.

Four  players from PYD-Niño Jesus  House of Studies,  will carry the country’s  flag in the three-day international 3x3 competition being held in this beautiful Vietnamese city  named after the famous  revolutionary general.

The four players are Jan Daniel Geronimo, Jan Prolles, Jhoncel Nudo, and Jhunerits Martin, who earned the right to represent the country  by topping the Arceegee x PYD National Tatluhan Finals held in Valle Verde 1 in Pasig City last September.

The  Beaujing Acot-mentored Filipinos will  battle for pride and honor  against Australian International School, RMIT-A, RMIT-B, District 2, Poseidon team and BSA-Vietnam.

“It is interesting to see how our players would fare against their foreign counterparts. But I am confident they will do well,” said Acot, who is personally responsible for bringing the team here  along with team patron Rinbert Galarde of Arceegee Sportswear.

“Just do your best and represent our country well. Hopefully, we will pull some surprises and bring home the gold medal,” said Galarde, who is also credited for the gold medal romp of the Team Pilipinas Dreamers Under-15 and silver medal  award of the Under-18 team in the recent 7th Asia Pacific Basketball Youth Cup.

“Of course, masayang-masaya tayo, lalo na yun nangyari sa Singapore na naiuwi natin yun 15U championship at yun first runnep-up trophy sa 18U,” added Galarde.

Acot and  the PYD-NJHS  team expressed  appreciation to the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP)  , Philippine  Charity Sweepstakes  Office (PCSO) , Smart Communication Inc, Buddy’s Pancit Lucban, Regent Food Corporation, Batis Armin Hotel and Resort,  Hygienix  Alcohol Splash Corporation, JAMAN, Hook Up Clothing and Watches, H+Autoworks,  Xpress Printing, Arceege Sportswear  and  Barangay San Antonio, Pasig City.
