RICSON Asilum and Millennium Loft shared the limelight in the second leg of the 2018 Philippine
Homing Pigeon Association (PHA) South Young Birds and Old Birds Series in Legaspi City last Feb. 11.

Asilum  and PHA-17-1704320 --  a blue check hen out of  Daughter of Johan -- 2K Line--
captured top honors in the Young Birds category  with a speed of 1,162.419  meter per minute.

Marvin Sy and  PHA-17-1708045 -- a blue bar hen out of Granddaughter of Dirty Harry --
finished second with a speed of 1,151.162  meter per minute, while Edison Yap and  PHA-17-1706257--  
a  black check cock out of Pure Batenburg vd Merwe bloodline -- came in third with a speed of
1,147.713  meter per minute.
    
The other leading finishers are  Jose Yap, fourth place; Ferdinand Chua, fifth; Kerby Chua,
sixth; Johnson Si, seventh;  Paul Ung, eighth; Diaz  & Galang Loft, ninth; and Ferdinand Chua, 10th.
    
In the Old Birds class, Millennium Loft and PHA-17-1710313  -- a blue check hen out of
Surebet/Vernazza X Staff van Reet origin -- topped the event with a speed of 1,150.576  meter per
minute.
    
Anson Ong and Charlie Chen  finished second and third, respectively, in the Old Birds
division.
    
Ong and PHA-17-2731609 -- a blue check cock out of Harry Si X OldLine Pacquiao bloodline --
made a speed of 1,148.829  meter per minute for second place.
    
Chen and PHA-17-1712902  -- a blue checkcockout  of Beaker/Koopman X Jos Then origin --
clocked 1,136.365  meter per minute for third place.
    
Also making it are Luis Chiu, Luis Chiu, Johnson Si,  Henry Tan, Benito Go que,   Jaime
“Jimi” Lim and Ferdinand Chua.         
    
In his report to PHA president Jaime “Jimi” Lim, PHA racing chairman Nelson  Chua said a
total of 794 birds out of 1, 1947 birds from 85 lofts were clocked in the Young Birds series and 428
birds out of 626  birds from 59 lofts were timed in the Old Birds division.
    
Last Feb. 4,  Diaz & Galang Loft and  Emilio Romero dominated the kickoff leg in Naga City.     
    
Diaz & Galang Loft and PHA-17-1705151 -- a black check cock out of Japan X 1st Fair
bloodline -- took first place in the Young Birds category. with a speed of 1,035.090 meter per
minute.
    
In the Old Birds class, Emilio and PHA-17-2752402 -- a black check hen out of C & G
Koopman-Donker Kras X Van den Broucke bloodline -- made a speed of 1,037.711 meter per minute for
first place.    
    
Last year, the PHA North Series was held with Norman Te topping the Young Birds category and
Winston Tiu ruling the Old Birds class in the final leg in Sta. Ana, Cagayan..

First leg, Bagabag  -- Romeo Liwag (Young Birds) and Resty Marcos (Old Birds).
    
Second leg, Muñoz -- Diaz & Galang Loft (Young) and  Jaime “Jimi” Lim (Old).
    
Third leg, Tuguegarao -- Diaz & Galang Loft (Young/Old Birds).
    
Fourth leg, Gattaran  -- Nixon Sy (Young) and Harry Sy (Old Birds).
    
Fifth leg, Aparri -- Winston Tiu (Young) and Charlie Chen (Old Birds).
