SENATE Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III is set to file a cyber-libel complaint before the National
Bureau of Investigation (NBI) against the man supposedly behind the “Silent No More” blog for calling
him names.

At the same time, Sotto said in jest that he would rather punch  the man  allegedly  behind
the “Silent No More” blog, identified as Edward Angelo Dayao, also known as Cocoy Dayao,  for calling
him names rather than accept an apology.
“His name calling, that’s my basis. Balewala yung  sinabi n’ya, hindi raw kami pumirma nag-
imbento s’ya ng istoryang ganun na mali na hindi naman kami pinapirma talaga. Balewala yun. Yung name
calling n’ya  ang libelous,”  Sotto said.
Asked about the possibility of Dayao making a public apology, Sotto said: “Public apology
niya? Walang mangyayari doon. Pasuntok na lang siya sa ’kin kung gusto niya.”
Sotto earlier called out the blogger after he labeled several senators allied with the Duterte
administration “Malacañang dogs.” The blog supposedly made it appear that the seven senators did not
sign a resolution urging the government to address the recent spate of killings, especially of
children, on purpose.
The same blog entry supposedly also referred to Sotto as a “rapist, plagiarist, and bigot.”
“Yung mga basher sa social media, opinyon nila yun. Kung opinyon, okay lang yun, pero once you
declare that’s a fact, these guys, ganito, ganyan, ibang usapan na yun,” Sotto said.
Sotto said the NBI has already confirmed that Dayao is the owner of the Silent No More blog.
“Na-trace na ng NBI. Pati yung mga registration n’ya (Dayao), lahat,” he said.
He intends to file cases against several others involved in the operation of the blog.  The
senator also wants Dayao’s passport canceled.
