THE Sandiganbayan First Division has granted the request of former Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. to see a dentist on June 18.

After hearing no objection from the prosecution, the anti-graft division cited “humanitarian considerations” in allowing Revilla to have a dental check-up, oral prophylaxis, and implant cleaning.

The request was an offshoot of his earlier dental clinic appointment last April 18 with Dr. Steve Mark Gan.

“Accused Revilla is authorized to undergo dental check-up, oral prophylaxis and implant cleaning on June 19, 2018 for two hours from 2:00 p,m. at the Gan Advanced Osseointegration Center,” the ruling said.

The anti-graft court ordered the Philippine National Police chief Director General Oscar Albayalde and the court’s Sheriff to secure the former senator during his travel.

As agreed upon in the previous trips, Revilla will shoulder all the expenses and he is barred from using any communication and electronic gadgets while outside his detention place.

He was accused of pocketing P224 million of his pork barrel funds by allegedly using the bogus non-government organizations (NGOs) of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles.

Revilla is currently detained at the Custodial Center of the PNP at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
