P2.7-M Pantawid Pamilya money stolen

IFUGAO — Three men reported to the Kiangan Municipal Police Station that three unidentified suspects on Monday held them up at Sitio Awa, Julongan, Kiangan, this province, and took the P2.7 million Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) cash aid for qualified families of Tinoc, Ifugao.

Police identified the robbery complainants as Marlon Padolnaton Guimangad, 26; Chester Bulayo Guazon, 33; and Jeffrey Humiwat Buhyag, 29, all of Kiangan, Ifugao.

The three men said that at around 6:10 p.m. Monday, they left Lagawe Multipurpose Development Cooperative (LMDC) with a black backpack containing P2.7 million. Guazon was carrying the backpack.

They rode on two motorcycles to Tinoc, Ifugao, but upon reaching Sitio Awa, they were stopped by three armed suspects wearing black masks, dark pants and dark t-shirts.

The suspects took the black backpack containing the money and fled towards Proper, Julongan, Kiangan, Ifugao.

Police are still investigating the incident.
