“SCRAM!” The masked killers supposedly yelled at the witnesses after shooting Marissa Adona, 48, inside her house in Caloocan City. The doomed woman’s 10-year-old daughter and other housemates scampered off like rats as the gunmen continued blasting their target over and over again.
Adona was inside her house in Santolan Street, Bgy. 178 Camarin when two men, both wearing bonnets and face masks barged in at around 3 p.m. and shot the victim once in front of her 10year old daughter.
The suspect ordered the child and other occupants of the house to go out before he repeatedly shot again the victim in the head and body while the other suspect served as a lookout.
After the killing, the suspects boarded their motorcycle and sped away towards an unknown direction
The victim’s eldest daughter admitted to the police that her mother was once using illegal drugs but when her current husband was jailed for drug pushing, she decided to stop.
In Barangay Bagong Silang, Joben Casuncad, 39, jobless of Phase 1 Package 1 Block 26 Lot 17 Bgy. 176 was standing in front of his house when riding-in-tandem criminals wearing helmets and face masks arrived at around 6:30 p.m.
The back rider alighted, pulled out a handgun and shot the victim repeatedly in the head and body, killing him instantly.
Caloocan Police North Extension Office (NEO) investigators are still conducting a follow up operation for possible identification and arrest of the suspects while the motive behind the killing is yet to be established.
