PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte and Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday held a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) in Da Nang, Vietnam.
In the meeting, Duterte thanked Putin for Russia’s help in Marawi City.
This is the third time that Duterte and Putin had a bilateral meeting.
The first time was in Lima, Peru on the sidelines of the AELM.
The second one was in Moscow, Russia before Duterte left for Manila after cutting his official visit short after the ISIS-inspired Maute group’s attack on Marawi City.
