IMPEACHMENT complainant Atty. Larry Gadon was slapped yesterday with another disbarment case before the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).

This brought to three the total number of disbarment suits lodged against him.

This time around, the complaint was filed by supporters of Chief Justice on-leave Ma. Lourdes Sereno whom Gadon cursed and insulted in Baguio City during the Supreme Court’s oral argument proceedings into Sereno quo warranto case.

The first disbarment case against Gadon was filed in 2016 after he allegedly said that Muslims should be killed to attain peace in Mindanao.
Also, lawyer Wilfredo Garrido Jr. asked the IBP to disbar him for his alleged arrogance and dishonesty during the impeachment proceedings at the House of Representatives.
In a formal complaint, Garrido accused Gadon of dishonesty, arrogance and rudeness during the impeachment proceedings before the House justice committee.
The complainant charged Gadon wih violating the lawyers’ Code of Professional Responsibility, particularly Canons 7, 8, 19 and Rules 7.03, 8.1 and 19.01 (A).
He claimed that Gadon perjured himself several times during the impeachment hearings, and knowingly executed a false verification in his complaint stating he had personal knowledge of his allegations against Sereno.
“Apart from lying, Atty. Gadon is also skilled in harassing and haranguing his own colleagues in public,” the complainant stressed in a 10-page complaint.
