Vendor nabbed for molesting daughter, 11

CAMP Gen. Malvar, Batangas -- A 33-year-old vendor charged with rape and acts of lasciviousness by her
minor daughter was arrested by authorities in Bgy. Alangilan, Batangas City, police PIO
head Insp. Hazel P. Luma-ang said on Wednesday.

Senior Supt. Randy Quines Peralta, provincial police director, identified the suspect as
Eduardo Calderon Bacal Jr., alias Jun-Jun, with live-in-partner, vendor, of Bgy. Gulod 
Labac, Batangas City.
Peralta said the accused was arrested last October 18 at 12:50 p.m. by elements
of Batangas City Police Station Warrant Section led by Senior Insp. Mario Santos David, under the
direct supervision of the city top cop Supt. Norberto Batoon Delmas, in Bgy. Alangilan, by virtue of a
warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 17-23112 and 17-23113 respectively issued by Judge
Florencio S. Arrellano of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 1 of Batangas City.
He said that based on police files, around 12 noon of July 23, this year, in Bgy. Gulod Labac,
the accused molested his 11-year-old daughter.
Also, in 2013 in  Bgy. Cuta, Batangas City, the accused also willfully and criminally committed
acts of lasciviousness on the victim, who was then only eight years old by deliberately touching her
private parts.
No bail was recommended for the suspect who was detained at the Batangas City jail.
