NAGA City -- A 45-year-old suspect from Lucena City was sued for “sex-tortion” by an 18-year-old girl from Sorsogon City for allegedly threatening to post her nude photos on website if she would not meet him to have sex on Thursday.
Charged with violation of the Anti-Photo and Voyeurism Law, two counts of rape and attempted rape by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Camarines Sur and the Police Regional Anti-Cyber Crime Office was a certain Edgar Manaloto.
CIDG CamSur head Chief Insp. Ronnie Fabia said the suspect was nabbed by joint CamSur and Sorsogon CIDG operatives, together with agents of the PNP Regional Anti-Cyber Group at a lodging house in Bgy. Tabuco, this city.
Fabia said the victim had a chat with a certain Rodson Williams on facebook until she was enticed by the latter to send naked photos of hers, as well as some personal data about herself, in exchange for $1,000 and an iPhone 7.
The victim told CIDG investigators that just a few hours after she sent the photos, Manaloto posted a message on facebook that if she would not meet with him to have sex, he will post her naked photos on website.
According to the victim, she was forced to travel to Naga City from Sorsogon to meet with the suspect last May 3 and yielded to his lustful desires.
