CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga -- An inactive barangay tanod was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Sta. Lucia in Magalang town, the other day.

Senior Supt. Nicolas Salvador, acting Pampanga police director, identified the suspect as Roberto Waje Maglaqui, 46.

The former Bantay-Bayan member sold a sachet of shabu for P500 to a poseur-buyer.

When accosted by lawmen, he yielded three sachets of shabu. His motorcycle with sidecar was also seized by the police as evidence.

Salvador said Maglaqui is included on the list of target drug personality and considered as a high-value target because of his position in the barangay.

In other parts of the province also the other day, 13 persons were arrested in anti-illegal drug operations.

Four were arrested in Mabalacat City, one each in Magalang and San Simon towns, six in Mexico, one in this city, and one in Sto. Tomas.

Dozens of sachets of shabu were confiscated during the operations.
