SARIAYA, Quezon -- After hiding for three years, a wanted man who was charged for raping his own daughter was finally arrested on Friday by police operatives in Bgy. Poblacion 6, here.

Quezon police director Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman identified the arrested felon as Roderick de la Torre, 40, construction worker and resident of said village.

De Guzman said De la Torre is the town’s sixth most wanted man of San Francisco, Quezon facing incestuous rape charges since 2015.

Town police commander Supt. Rafael Torres said the arrest was carried out by his warrant officers headed by SPO4 Roilan Algire on the strength of an arrest order issued by Judge Edilwasif T. Baddiri of Gumaca Regional Trial Court Branch 62, at 4:15 p.m. with no bail recommended.

Quoting police records, Torres said the suspect was accused of raping his own daughter who was 14 years old that time.

“In her compalint, the victim accused the suspect of raping her three times on April 6, 2015,” said Torres.

“Naka-tatlo po siya!,” the victim said in her sworn statement.

Since the victim’s mother was working abroad, Torres said it was the latter’s sister who lodged the complaint against the suspect.

The suspect was detained at the custodial facility of Sariaya Police Station and will be turned over to San Francisco Police Station.
