Pusher shot dead, buddy, cop hurt

A suspected drug pusher was shot dead and his companion as well as a member of Drug Enforcement 
Team (DET) members was hurt during an anti-illegal drug operation in Pulong-Ipot, Purok 6, Bgy.
Pansol, Calamba City, on Monday afternoon.
A report to Senior Supt. Dindo Reyes, acting Laguna police director, by Supt. Reynaldo
Maclang, Calamba City police chief, identified the fatality  as Cris Pantaleon, 26, alias Ompong,
who is listed on the DI watchlist of Calamba City.
The suspect’s companion, Harrizon San Valentin Luna, 31, pool agent, of Purok 2, Bgy.
Pansol, was confined at the hospital.
One of the police operatives, PO1 Randolf  Hizon, was hit in the body and was taken to
Calamba Doctors Hospital.
A Drug Enforcement Team led by SPO2 Lorenzo Colinares conducted a buy-bust operation at 3
p.m. at the hideout of the suspects which resulted in an armed encounter when the suspect sensed
that his buyer was a lawman. He drew his firearm and shot PO1 Hizon, triggering a running gun
A Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team led by Chief Insp. Shylla Cahilig recovered a
cal. 9mm pistol with one magazine loaded with 13 live ammo and two plastic sachets of suspected
shabu, four pieces of P20 bills, 26 pcs. of P50 bills, 56 pcs. of P100 bill and two pieces of P1
coin, a  Casio (G-Shock) wrist watch, a cellphone, an earring and a  ring.
The body of the slain suspect as brought to Green Lawn Funeral Homes for autopsy.
The pieces of evidence were submitted to PNP Regional Crime Laboratory Office 4-A (RCLO4-
A), Camp Vicente Lim, Bgy. Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna for examination.
