Pusher couple nabbed for shabu in San Pedro City

A suspected drug pusher couple was arrested following the confiscation of 0.24 gram of shabu during an anti-illegal drug operation by police operatives in Sitio Kangkungan, South Fairway, Bgy. Landayan, San Pedro City, Thursday night.

Supt. Mark Anthony Andrade, San Pedro police chief, identified the arrested suspects as Rowena Tuyay, alias Wena, 37, vendor, and her husband Vivencio, 47, jobless.

The suspects were arrested after they were caught selling a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer worth P200.

Confiscated from Rowena were the buy bust money, a coin purse containing heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu while Vivencio yielded P250 and one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected illegal drugs (shabu).

The illegal drugs weighing about 0.24 gram has an estimated street value of P1,200.
The suspects, together with the pieces of evidence will be brought to PDEA Laboratory Office 4A for laboratory and drug examination while cases for violation of Sections 5, 26 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects before the Office of the City Prosecutor of San Pedro City.
