CAMP Olivas, Pampanga -- The newly-installed Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director has ordered a thorough investigation into the shooting of a female agent of the Public Safety Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (PSSLAI) in Angeles City last September 12.
PRO3 director Chief Supt. Amador Corpus directed the Angeles City police to identify and arrest the motorcycle-riding man who shot Rosana Agrano, 46, in broad daylight in front of the parking entrance of Super 8 Supermarket in Bgy. Sto. Domingo.
The victim, who is still in critical condition at the Jose B. Lingad Regional Memorial Hospital in the City of San Fernando as of presstime, was walking in front of the Mang Inasal Restaurant at 2:50 p.m. when the MC-riding gunman wearing a red helmet, black jacket and short pants shot her in the head.
Nothing was taken from the victim, who was left lying on the concrete pavement for several minutes without anybody helping her until rain occurred.
Some concerned onlookers, including students of a nearby school, took pity for the rain-soaked victim and put umbrellas to shield her from the rain.
When the policemen arrived, they brought her to the Sacred Heart Medical Center, which is just a few hundred meters away from the crime scene but was later transferred to the government hospital.
Chief Insp. Erwin Marzan of Angeles City Police Station 1 said Agrano is a resident of EMS Barrio, just outside Camp Olivas headquarters where she owns a sari-sari store. She works as an agent of the PSSLAI located inside the police camp.
