GENERAL Trias City, Cavite -- Mayor Antonio ‘Ony’ Ferrer is running for his last term under the National Unity Party (NUP) in 2019 midterm elections.
Mayor Ferrer filed his certificate of candidacy at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office at the fourth floor of the city hall at 9:33 a.m. on the last day of CoC filing yesterday.
General Trias City Election Officer Armando Vencilao received the CoC of Mayor Ferrer accompanied by his wife, Anne Ferrrer, sons and daughter, mother Teresita Ferrer and younger brother Cavite 6th district Rep. Luis ‘Jon Jon’ Ferrer IV, who also filed his CoC for reelection on Monday afternoon.
Ferrer was accompanied by his runningmate, reelectionist Vice Mayor Morit Sison, reelectionist Councilors Jonas Glynn Labuguen, Gary Grepo, Jowie Carampot, Tey Martinez, Nanding Granados, Florencio Ayos, Vivencio ‘Pafoo’ Lozares and Atty. Kristine Barison and wannabes LnB President Jay Columna, Richard Parin, Gani Culanding and Claire Campaña.
“Maraming, maraming salamat po sa walang-sawang suporta n’yo sa Team GenTri,” Mayor Ferrer said in his speech at the historic church after the Holy Mass.
The team attended the Holy Mass at 7:30 a.m. officiated by Fr. Ollie Genuino, parish priest of historic St. Francis of Assisi parish.
Ferrer said in his speech after the Mass.
