Naked man found in Batangas cave

STO. Tomas, Batangas -- An unidentified mentally disordered man was found dead inside a cave by a man
who was walking near the San Juan River in Bgy. San Roque, here, Wednesday afternoon.                                                                                                             
Sto. Tomas police deputy chief Senior Insp. Erickson A. Go said the naked corpse was about 40
-45 years old and 5’4" in height. 

Go said that at around 12:50 p.m. on December 13, SPO3 Orbito S. Micosa, local police duty
desk officer, received a call from a concerned citizen informing that a dead man was found in the
SPO1 Joel M. Banta and PO2 Emiliano L. Carandang, who was dispatched to the area, said that at  
around 12:30 p.m., a certain Teodoro Villa Carlos Asor, 43, a precast worker from Bgy. San Roque,
found the victim lying lifeless inside the cave while walking along a creek.
An ocular inspection conducted by the authorities showed that the body had no wound or any
distinguishing marks.
According to some local residents, the victim was suffering from mental illness.
Local police coordinated with the PNP-Crime Laboratory Office in PRO-4A Camp Vicente Lim,
Calamba City for technical crime scene investigation to determine if there was foul play.
The victim’s body was brought to Bayrante Funeral Parlor in Bgy. Poblacion 4 for autopsy.
