Naga drug suspect gunned down

NAGA City -- Another drug suspect, identified by joint Naga police and PDEA operatives as Paul Bryan Molilia Talagtag, alias “Balao” who is no. 5 on the drug watchlist of the city police, was killed when he allegedly tried to shoot a police operative during a buy-bust operation in Zone 5, Bgy. Balatas, here, the NCPO reported on Saturday.

The family of Talagtag told local reporters that they do not believe the suspect resisted the arresting police officers, adding Talagtag had developed intermittent moments of mental disorder after surrendering last year as an illegal drug user.

Joint operatives of the NCPO, PNP regional anti-illegal drug enforcement units and the PDEA yielded four plastic sachets of shabu and recovered a cal. .38 revolver with ammunitions reportedly from the possession of Talagtag.

In Pili, Camarines Sur, drug suspects Joshua Beron and Jummel Bañadera, both in their mid-30s and residents of Tabaco City, were nabbed for possession of 25 grams of shabu in Bgy. San Jose.

Joint operatives of Pili police, PNP regional drug enforcement unit and CamSur PPO reported that they fired warning shots on the suspects as they tried to flee on a get-away vehicle.
