Man shot dead, 4 suspects nabbed in Pampanga

CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga -- A man was shot dead in front of his house in Bgy. San Matias, Sta. Rita, Pampanga, the other day.

Senior Supt. Nicolas Salvador, acting Pampanga police director, identified the victim as Mario de Ausen, 58.

Investigation showed that the victim was inside his sports utility vehicle waiting for the gate to be opened when two men on board a motorcycle arrived and shot him once.

The victim tried to avoid the attackers and maneuvered his vehicle but was met by three more gunshots. He then lost control of the steering wheel and hit the side of the road.

The suspects fled towards Guagua town.

De Hausen was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by a doctor due to multiple gunshot wounds.

A manhunt operation resulted in the arrest of four suspects, identified as Gilbert Aurelio, 54, Angelo Aurelio, 23, and Albert Ablete, 27, and one identified by the Sta. Rita police only as a certain “Boss”.

A black PMR100 motorcycle (130309) and a red Toyota Innova (NIN733) were recovered from the suspects.
