Man held for P12-K shabu

The Drug Enforcement Team (DET) of the Calamba City police arrested a jobless man for possession of P12,300 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Canlubang.

Calabarzon police director Chief Supt. Edward Carranza identified the suspect as Mark Joseph Marcelino, 30, of Block 24, Lot 22, Asia 1, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City.

The operation was conducted by a team led by Chief Insp. Mark Rebanal under the direct supervision of Calamba police chief Supt. Harold Depositar that resulted in the arrest of the suspect, who is listed on the police drug watchlist.

Police seized from the suspect seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an approximate weight of two grams worth P12,300, a marked P500 bill, three pieces off P100 bills and an empty box of Marlboro white.

The suspect, together with the recovered pieces of evidence, was brought to RCLO 4A in Camp Vicente Lim in Calamba City for drug and laboratory tests . A criminal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) will be field against him.
