BULACAN policemen on Monday arrested and jailed a man accused of allegedly raping his 15-year old drinking buddy in Norzagaray town, Bulacan Police Provincial Office director, Senior Superintendent Romeo M. Caramat Jr. said yesterday.

The official identified the suspect as Allan Caña, a 23-year old jobless resident of Curvada, Barangay Minuyan in Norzagaray.

Caramat said the suspect was arrested following a complaint from the teenager and her family. An investigation showed that the victim and the suspect had a drinking session with some friends prior to the alleged rape.

After the victim got drunk, she was allegedly offered by the suspect and his friends to stay in the same house. After their other friends left the place, the suspect allegedly returned and brought the complainant to a nearby rice field where she reportedly sexually abused her before threatening her not to make any complaint or he will harm her.

The victim reported the incident to her mother after she managed to escape from the clutches of the suspect. Both went to the Norzagaray Municipal Police Station whose men came to arrest the suspect.
Caramat said a rape case will be filed against the suspect.
