CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga -- Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda directed the Pampanga police to conduct
an inspection on all subdivisions in the province to check the existence of shabu laboratories.
Also, Pineda told Pampanga acting police director Senior Supt. Jeol Consulta to strengthen
the PNP’s coordination with barangay officials to help maintain peace and order in the province.
Pineda said barangay officials are effective in monitoring the presence of suspected drug
laboratories in their respective areas.
In a meeting last Monday at the governor’s office, Pineda told Consulta to conduct an
immediate meeting with barangay officials to discuss plans on how to address the fight against
illegal drugs in the barangay level.
“The key is to strengthen your collaboration with barangay officials,” Pineda told Consulta
and his chiefs of police during a New Year’s call with the governor.

province on a 24/7 monitoring which can be accessed via the soon-to-be established PNP command
At present, Consulta said the provincial police office has a minimum of 90 checkpoints all
over the province on a daily basis to monitor the movements of criminal elements.
“Every station has four daily checkpoints in each of the province’s 19 municipalities and two
cities,” he said.
Consulta said the checkpoints implement “Oplan Sita” which has seized illegal firearms, drugs
and unregistered motorcycles.
