Fire hits Bacoor’s oldest school

BACOOR City -- St. Micheal Institute, the oldest catholic school in city proper, was caught on fire at 12:30 p.m. last April 24, in Poblacion, Bgy. Tabing Ilog here.

Police said the incident started at the school library and the blaze consumed 14 classrooms.

The fire which reached third alarm was put out by the city Bureau of Fire and Protection at 2 p.m., according to FO1 Cayaban of BFP Bacoor. One SPO1 Melvin Vinson sustained minor injury during the blaze.

St. Micheal Institute (SMI) was established in 1960’s by Catholic priests of historic St. Micheal the Archangel Church.
