CABANATUAN City -- Unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants gunned down last Saturday night a 51-year-old businessman, who was a former member of dzRH’s volunteer group “Operation Tulong.”

City police commander Supt. Ponciano P. Zafra said businessman Manuel G. Lacsamana, of Sitio Mampulog, Bgy. Bitas, this city, was driving his red Mitsubishi Strada pick-up truck when he was peppered with bullets by two suspects on board an unidentified motorcycle.

The gun attack occurred along Mabini Street in Bgy. Quezon District at 11:40 p.m.

Zafra said the victim sustained several gunshot wounds to the body and was pronounced dead on arrival at Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Medical and Memorial Research Center.

Reports said Lacsamana, an Alpha Phi Omega member, was also a former asset of the National Bureau of Investigation in this city.

He was also the owner of several business firms, including the MGL Resort in Sitio Mampulog, Bgy. Bitas, and several outlets of Phoenix gas station in the city.
