CABANATUAN City -- The Department of Public Works and Highways-Nueva Ecija 2nd District Engineering Office under Engr. Ricardo M. Puno is aiming for another record-breaking performance this year as it now occupies the second spot in terms of completed projects and accomplishments among the 15 district offices in Central Luzon.
It would be recalled that Puno’s district bagged the DPWH’s best district engineering office in Central Luzon for 2017 and for the said feat, it qualified to participate in last year’s nationwide search for the best DPWH district engineering office and it eventually garnered the 18th spot of the nationwide competition for the same year.
As of Sept. 15, according to a Project and Contract Management Procedures and Application (PCMA) report by the regional office of the DPWH-Project Monitoring Division, Engr. Puno’s district office which obtained a total programmed project amount of P3.2 billion, is currently running at second with an actual accomplishment rate of 77.85 percent, having completed 106 of its 151 total projects with 40 projects still ongoing and five not yet started (NYS).
Puno said he is still trailing the Tarlac II DEO, the current leader in the region, having P2.9 billion worth of infra projects and accomplishment rate of 85.20 percent with 95 active projects, 64 of which were completed and 31 are on-going.
