Ecija bgy treasurer, man busted for drugs in Laguna

A barangay treasurer, tagged as a high-value target in the war against illegal drugs in Lupao, Nueva Ecija, was nabbed following a search operation in his house which yielded shabu residues and various drug paraphernalia last Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile in Laguna, a man was arrested during an anti-illegal drug operation last Sunday.
Provincial police director Senior Supt. Antonio C. Yarra identified the arrested suspect as barangay treasurer Rodelito Collado, 44, married, of Zone 2, Bgy. Balbalungao, this town.
Senior Insp. Rodney D. Godio, town police commander, said his men and members of the Provincial Intelligence Branch under Senior Insp. Benedict S. Lagmay implemented a search warrant on the suspect’s premises that led to his arrest at 2 p.m.
Seized from the suspect’s premises were a plastic sachet containing shabu residues and various drug paraphernalia, consisting of an improvised plastic pipe, rolled aluminum foil strips, lighter and a plastic cylindrical tube used in sniffing the banned substance.
Godio said authorities served the search warrant after it was issued by Gapan City Regional Trial Court Judge Celso O. Baguio on June 15, 2017 against the arrested suspect.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 will be slapped against the suspect before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office in Cabanatuan City.
In Laguna, police nabbed a man wanted for illegal drugs during an operation in Bgy. Wawa, Siniloan, Sunday afternoon.
A report submitted to acting Laguna police director Senior Supt. Cecilio Ison Jr. by Senior Insp.Lindsey Tibuc, Siniloan police chief, identified the suspect as Patrick Go, 37.
Police operatives were armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Marlyn M. Reyes-Agama, of Regional Trial Court Branch 33, 4th Judicial Region, Siniloan, for violation of Sec. 11, Article II of RA 9165 under criminal case number S-8707.
Police seized from the suspect three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu, an improvised plastic water pipe containing liquid suspected as shabu, improvised aluminum tooter, improvised burner and a digital weighing scale.
The suspect was detained at Siniloan Municipal Jail while the pieces of evidence will be brought to the Provincial Crime Laboratory for examination and drug test.
