CAMP Brig. Gen. Vicente Lim, Bgy. Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna -- Unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen shot dead an illegal drug surrenderer who is on the watchlist of policemen early yesterday morning in Biñan City while 60 persons involved in illegal drugs were arrested in Calabarzon last Wednesday.
The victim, Cleto Llena, of Bgy. Malaban, Biñan City, was on his way home at 1:40 a.m. when the unidentified suspects approached him. The back rider shot him several times in the head. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Police said that during ‘Oplan Tokhang’ of former PNP chief Director General Roland ‘Bato’ dela Rosa, the victim surrendered for fear he would be snatched to hauled to jail.
But the victim reportedly continued his illegal drug activity.
The suspect, Joseph Villegas, 40, yielded a sachet of shabu worth P500.
The other suspects in Calabarzon were either arrested during buy-bust operations or drug raids.
They were Arvin Loblesa and Jonathan Austria, alias ‘Toto’, both of Bgy. Calimag, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Cavite, who was nabbed for possession of three sachets of shabu; Ramir Don, of Bgy. Memije, GMA (3 sachets of shabu); and in Rosario town, Ferdinand Tolentino, of Bgy. Ligtong 3 (7 sachets); Conan Romero, of Bgy. Wawa 3 (5 sachets) and Ariel Ledesma, of Bgy. Ligtong 3 (3 sachets).
Luisito Villaluz, of Bgy. Kanluran (2 sachets of shabu); Rodelio Olivera and Rodelito Goria (4 sachets); and Jose Marie Nicanor and Justin Cordero (3 sachets), all of Ciudad Nuevo Subd., Bgy. Sabang, Naic; Joie Bernadette Rayray, of Bgy. Dulong Bayan, Bacoor City (3 sachets); Wilson Salen, of Bgy. Amuyong, Alfonso (2 sachets); Reynaldo Encarnacion, of Bgy. San Rafael 3, Noveleta (3 sachets) and in Bgy. San Isidro Labrador 1, Dasma, Harris Noga, Abelardo Domincel Jr. and Rudy Geneta (9 sachets of shabu).
In Laguna nabbed were Ernesto Calopez and Renato Zamora, both of Pavillion Riles ng Train, Bgy. San Antonio (4 sachets of shabu -- 7 grams -- worth P28,000); MJ Aduana and Jeypre Gonzales, of Purok 2, Bgy. Tibag, Calamba (1 gram of shabu); Charlie Afunggol, of Purok 6, Bgy. Longos, Kalayaan (2 sachets); Phil Enric Eva Sitio 4 (3 sachets); Jay-R Lim (3 sachets), both of Bgy. San Pablo Norte,
Sta. Cruz; Leo Jay Matundan, Leodie Matundan and Noel Biñan, all of Bgy. Anos, Los Baños (4 sachets); Ericson Aguilar and Chyristopher Sevilla, both of Bgy. San Roque, San Pablo (4 sachets); Lester Cayetano, of Bgy. Poblacion III, Sta. Cruz (4 sachets); Johannes Belen, of Bgy. San Roque, San Pablo (3 sachets); Ernesto Santos Hilario Jr., of Bgy. Bubukal, Sta. Cruz (2 sachets); Jay-R Rigor and Rodney Ramos, both of Bgy. 7C, San Pablo City (2 sachets of shabu and a sachet of dried marijuana leaves).
Willie Salivio, of Bgy. Dayap, Calauan (8 sachets of shabu); Kim Brian Tayaba, of Purok 5, Bgy. 2, Calamba City (6 sachets); Divina Ligua, of Bgy. Dayap, Calauan (7 scahets); Archie Dimaunahan (5 sachets); Godofredo Hicap, of Southville 1, Bgy. Niugan (5 sachets); Christian Hernandez Basco and Rona de Ocampo, both of Bgy. Dita (7 sachets), Sta. Rosa City; Salam Hadji Abdullah, 30, and Rowena Laranga De Ocampo, 34 (9 sachets).
In other anti-illegal drug operations, police in Calamba City arrested Jilian Mhae Landicho, 21, and Lorenzo Carreon, 44, both of Alcaide Villa, Bgy. Banadero, Calamba City for selling at 3 p.m. five sachets containing shabu to a police poseur-buyer. A gram of shabu worth P6,500 was confiscated from them.
In Cabuyao City, a drug pusher was arrested in Celestine Subdivision, Bgy. Gulod for selling shabu at 11 p.m.
The Batangas police arrested Arwin Dumaculangan Agojo, of Bgy. Marawoy, Lipa City (3 sachets of shabu); Henry Ramirez and Lonybeth Howe, both of Bgy. Libjo, Batangas City (a sachet of shabu); Elena Caringal, of Bgy. San Bartolome, Sto. Tomas (a scahet); Anjo Arias Manalo, of Bgy. Aplaya, Bauan (3 sachets); Marvin Bondad Lacsamana, of Bgy. Sta. Clara, Batangas City (2 sachets); and Krostopher Manalo Tan and Ruel Bicol, of Bgy. Calicanto, Batangas City (3 sachets).
The Rizal PNP arrested Christian Oclarit, Glena Perdiz, Gilbert Oclarit, Reynaldo Ponte and Eddie Villanueva, all of Bgy. Sto. Domingo, Cainta for 10 sachets of shabu; and Julius Asis, of Dama de Noche St., Bgy. Banaba, San Mateo (3 sachets).
The Quezon police arrested Magadia Cruzat, of Bgy. Guis-Guis, Sariaya (2 sachets of shabu); Ariel Mendoza Dequito of Bgy. Poblacion 1, Tiaong (3 sachets) and Reynaldo Vito Castillo, of Bgy. Poblacion, Candelaria (a sachet of shabu).
