Dasma pusher dies in firefight; 15 held

CAMP Brig. Gen. Pantaleon Garcia, Imus City, Cavite -- A drug pusher in Dasmariñas City, Cavite was killed during a firefight with policemen conducting anti-illegal drug operations when the suspect chose to fight it out instead of giving up  yesterday morning.

Police said suspect Remar S. Tiquel, of Bgy. Langkaan 2, Dasmariñas City, died on the spot at 1:45 a.m.

Dasmariñas City police said they conducted a drug bust operation for five sachets of shabu when the suspect, armed with a cal. .45 pistol, grabbed the marked money and ran while firing his gun. The suspect was shot dead as the policemen fired back. 

In other police anti-drug operations, 15 drug suspects were arrested. They were Benjamin del Castillo, 40, and Garry Salvador, alias ‘Garoy’, both of Bukid-Ibayo, Bgy. San Nicolas 2, Bacoor City who yielded six sachets of shabu; Rolando Briones, 41, of Bgy. Guyam Malaki, Indang; Heldigardo Mojica, 57, of Bgy. Alulod, Indang (three sachets of shabu); Christian Perea, alias ‘Ryan’, 34; and Sheila Enguancho, 36, both of Bgy. Ibayo Silangan, Naic (four sachets of shabu); Vincent Nazareno, 34, and Arjeen Perea, 41, both of Bgy. Labac, Naic (three sachets of shabu); Oscar Aledia, 53, and Aldrin Aquino, both of Bgy. Talaba 5, Bacoor City (sniffing shabu); Argel Bashan, 33, of Bgy. Castaños Lejos, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo (selling a sachet of shabu); Christian de Torres, 23, of Bgy.  Biga 1, Silang (sachet of shabu); Carmen Martinez, 42, Reyvynne Cacas, 31, both of Bgy. Punta 1, Tanza (five sachets of shabu); and King Jerry Pantaleon, 18, of Bgy. Sampaloc 2, Dasma (selling a sachet of shabu).
