A DRUG-PUSHING couple in Cotabato City are now in jail after they were busted by local operatives of
the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency last Tuesday, PDEA chair Director General Aaron N. Aquino said

Suspects Monera Bansuan, alias ‘Ning/Neneng,’ 24, and Allan Masundig, 35, were placed under
arrest shortly after they conspired to sell some 20 grams of shabu worth P100,000 to an undercover
officer of the PDEA Regional Office 9 in Rosary Heights 8, Cotabato City.
Aquino said the two yielded 52 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing the drugs, a digital
scale, two lights, a mobile phone they used in making the drug transaction, four bundles of plastic
cellophanes and a motorcycle.
According to Aquino, Bansuan was also arrested by the Cotabato City Police Office on Sept. 14,
2016 for violation of Republic Act 9165 but was released from jail last March 6 after posting bail.
The PDEA Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Regional Office placed the suspects under
surveillance after they received reports that Bansuan has returned to his illicit drug trafficking
The two are now facing charges for drug selling under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive
Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said Aquino. The offense is non-bailable and carries a penalty of life
imprisonment and a maximum fine of P5 million upon conviction.
