SIX known drug personalities in Bulacan were arrested in separate anti-narcotics operations conducted by the local police last Sunday, Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Romeo M. Caramat Jr. said yesterday.

Two of the suspects, identified as beauticians Bernard de Jesus, alias ‘Bela,’ 28; and Justine Mateo, 22, both of Bgy. Catmon, Sta. Maria, were arrested after they conspired to sell P500 worth of shabu to an undercover officer in their neighborhood.
Also recovered from the suspects were four more plastic sachets containing 1.2 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ with a market value of P8,000 and the marked money they received from the poseur.
In Balagtas, policemen under Chief Insp. Napoleon Cruz arrested Christopher Alem, alias ‘Tope,’ 42, street-sweeper, during a buy-bust operation. The suspect, of Pandi town, yielded two small plastic sachets of shabu and two marked P100 bills paid to him by an agent.
In Norzagaray, police under Supt. Angel Garcillano arrested Jun Galora, 40, Paolo Sanchez, 29, and Noeme Basilio, 20, all of Bgy. Sapang Palay, San Jose del Monte City, during a checkpoint operation.
Caramat said the three were on board a tricycle when they were flagged down by the officers. He said the back rider, Galora, yielded a small plastic sachet of suspected shabu worth P400.
They are now facing charges for violation of RA 9165.
