BULACAN policemen on Thursday arrested a 60-year-old man who, along with a relative beat one of their
neighbors to death following a heated argument, Bulacan Police Provincial Office director Senior Supt.
Romeo M. Caramat Jr. announced yesterday.

The official identified the arrested suspect as Roberto Salvador, a resident of J. Buison
Street in Bgy. Bagong Nayon, Baliwag municipality. A co-accused of the old man identified as his
relative Christian,23, escaped after the killing and is still being hunted as of press time.
Caramat said that the two were accused of killing Edward Miclat,45, following an argument
outside their house around 4 p.m. Thursday.
An investigation showed that the suspects and Miclat were engaged in a heated altercation
before they started throwing punches at each other. Several hard punches thrown by the suspects caused
the victim to lose consciousness.
A Good Samaritan rushed the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead upon
arrival. Caramat said responding officers from the Baliwag Municipal Police Station arrested the senior
citizen during a hot pursuit operation and detained him at the local police detention facility.
The other Salvador is still being tracked down as of press time.
The two will be facing homicide charges, Caramat said.
