Construction worker found dead

TANAUAN City, Batangas -- Police are investigating the death of a construction worker, who was found with severe head injuries in Bgy. Poblacion 3, here, Monday morning.

The victim, Mark Jayson Padre, about 25-30 years old,  stay-in worker at a construction site in Bgy. Poblacion 3, wearing denim shorts without upper garment, was found by Ariel Eusoya Jr. at 11:20 a.m., police said.
They identified the five suspects as Dennis Licup Laurio, of 001 Rosal St., Ext. Bgy., Payatas, Quezon City; others with aliases of Nonoy, Jing, Jojo and Joel,  all natives of Bgy. Baleno, Masbate City.
Investigators said the victim was a stay-in worker at Dra. Doris Velasco’s house in the barangay.
They said the above co-workers of the victim were  nowhere to be found and could not reached thru their cellphones when they tried to call them.
Investigators said the victim sustained head injuries  and a black mark in the right eye, indicating he fought off the suspects, who also hammered him.
Furthermore, the suspects are related to each other, police said.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old lady production worker was found with multiple stab wounds in the body in a grassy area in Bgy. Bulihan, Malvar, Monday morning.
Town police chief Senior Insp. Arwin Baby Caimbon identified the victim as Jhoan Aragon Patnon, production crew at CDO Foodsphere Inc., presently renting a house in Bgy. Bulihan, Malvar.
Case officers PO3s Avelino P. Atienza, Jr. and  Rosswell Sadicon said the victim was confronted by the suspect, identified as “Alvin Baro,” near the Malvar-Balete road at 8:40 p.m. Sunday.
At 5:40 a.m. the next day, the lifeless body of the victim was discovered by Rogelio Valencia Oblea slumped at the grassy portion of the road, investigators said.
