TWENTY known drug dealers in Bulacan were arrested in a string of anti-narcotics operations in the province which led in the seizure of a sizable amount of shabu and its paraphernalia on Monday and Tuesday, Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Romeo M. Caramat Jr. said yesterday.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Chief Supt. Amador V. Corpus, the official identified those arrested last Tuesday as Julius Encomio and Joey Vergara, both 32, of San Jose del Monte City; Reynante Lopez, 41, and Gaudencio Flores, 56, both of Bustos town; and Pedro Tapac, 40, of Bgy. Bayugo, Meycauayan City.
Flores turned out to be a ‘tanod’ from Bgy. Cambaog.
Nine sachets of shabu were recovered from the suspects.
The other 15 were arrested in separate anti-narcotics operation in the municipalities of San Rafael, Pulilan, Guiguinto, Balagtas, Bulakan, and Plaridel.
Caramat identified them as Joselito Villena, William Thein, Oliver Cruz, Alexander de Leon, Lea Coronel, Jerson Belza, Mark Solis, Ean Christian de Umania, James Lee, Jaypee Carlos, Angelo Angeles, Jayjay Mallari, Ramon Banawa, Dale Baltazar and Nathaniel Baltazar.
The suspects yielded 24 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu granules.
All 20 suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said Caramat.
