TEN drug offenders were arrested by agents of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office in separate anti-narcotics operations in the province on Monday and Tuesday, local police director Senior Supt. Romeo M. Caramat Jr. announced yesterday.
aThe official said that the suspects engaged in street-level drug trafficking activities were arrested in buy-bust operations in the municipalities of Plaridel and Baliwag and in Meycauayan City.
Three of the suspects, identified as Rolando Baribal, 48, Jonabell Senar, 23, and Maricel Baribal, 41, all of Meycauayan City, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Malcahan Tuesday, the official said in a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Chief Supt. Amador Corpus.
Seized from the suspects were five heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shahu and the marked money paid to them by an undercover officer from the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Meycauayan City Police Station.
The seven other suspects, identified as Micheal Anthony Zapanta, 35, of Bgy. Poblacion in Plaridel; Emeterio San Pedro, 43, of Bgy. Makinabang, Pulilan; Noel Ramos, 44, of Bgy. Sto. Cristo, also in Pulilan; Ricky Rustia, 35, and Cristina de la Cruz, 32, both of Sitio Tumana, Bgy. San Jose, Baliwag; and Meycauayan City residents Jeffrey Sadia, 36, and Floreto de la Peña Jr., 39, were arrested on Monday.
Seized from the suspects were 16 plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the marked money they received from undercover officers.
All seven are facing charges for selling of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165, Caramat said.
