Bulacan cops jail drug offenders

AT least 12 known drug personalities in Bulacan were arrested by the local police in separate buy-bust operations on Sunday, Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Romeo M. Caramat Jr. announced yesterday.

The official said the suspects were arrested in anti-narcotics operations in the municipalities of San Rafael, Angat, Baliwag, Bocaue, Bustos and San Miguel and Meycauayan City.

Seized from the suspects were 33 transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, marked money paid to them by undercover officers and various drug paraphernalia.

Caramat identified the arrested suspects as Arsenio Soriz, of Bgy. Tilapayong, San Rafael; Jayson Bernardino , of Bgy . Laog, Angat; Nenita Polintan, of Bgy. Sabang, Baliwag; Michael Ramos, of Bgy. Batia, Bocaue; Mark Santos and Jessa Mae dela Peña, both of Bgy. Bagong Nayon in Baliwag;

Wilando Mariano, of Bgy. Camachilihan, Bustos; Raymond Garcia, of Bgy. Liciada, Bustos; Juan Carlo dela Cruz, and Edmund de las Alas, both of Bgy. Bulihan, Plaridel; Kelvin Garcia, of Bgy. San Jose, San Miguel; and a 15-year-old offender from Meycauayan City.

All suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Caramat said.
