A village chairwoman and her personal assistant were killed while her husband was wounded when unidentified suspects wearing bonnets shot them inside a beach resort Sunday afternoon in Iloilo City.

The fatalities were identified as Remia Prevendido Gregori, chairwoman of Bgy. Bakhaw, Mandoria, Iloilo City, and her personal assistant Analee Antipatria.

Taken to the hospital for treatment was Bonifacio Gregori Sr., husband of the village chief.

Reports said the incident occurred at 4:20 p.m. at Crystal Beach Resort located at Bgy. Idcadlum, San Joaquin, Iloilo City.

The victims were having fun in the area when the suspects arrived and proceeded to the room rented by Remia and shot her repeatedly, causing her instantaneous death.

Remia’s assistant, who was outside the room, and her huband were also shot by the suspects.

The victims were rushed to San Joaquin District Hospital where the two women were declared dead on arrival by attending physicians. Bonifacio was in critical condition.

Records showed that Remia is a sister of Buang Prevendido, a national high-value target 4 for his involvement in illegal drugs.

Remia is also reportedly involved in illegal drug trade along with her sons and daughters who have pending warrants of arrest.

She is under the watch-list as HVT3 while Analee is tagged by some sources as courier of illegal drugs and cohort of Remia.
