‘Bato’ fetes SWAT challenge winners

PHILIPPINE National Police chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa yesterday feted the
winners of the recent SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) Challenge in Davao City. 

The event showcased the sharpshooting skills of the country’s top military and police
commandos.

Named as overall champion was the PNP Special Action Team 2 followed by the SAF Team 2 and
the National Capital Region Police Office Rapid Deployment Company 2.
    
President Rodrigo Duterte, himself a fine shooter, lauded the winners.
    
In the PNP category, adjudged as champion was the PNP SAF Team 2 followed by SAF Team 1,
the NCRPO RDC 2, the Office of the Chief PNP Team 1 and the NCRPO RDC 1.
    
In the Armed Forces of the Philippines category, the champion was Philippine Air Force
Team 2 followed by the First Scout Ranger Regiment of the Philippine Army and the PAF Team 1.
    
Named as Stage 1 Champion was the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Team  
while the State 2 winner was the Office of Chief PNP Team 1. 
    
Others who topped their respective events were: Stage 3: SAF Team 3; Stage 4: CIDG; Stage
4-NCRPO RDC 2; Stage 6-Army’s FSRR; Stage 7-Office of the Chief, PNP Team 1; Stage 8-Police
Regional Office 3 Team 2; Stage 9-PRO3 Team 2;  and Stage 10-SAF Team 2.
    
Adjudged as Best in Uniform was the PRO9 Team from Western Mindanao followed by the PAF
team and the Davao City Police Office.
