Batangas trader gunned down

TUY, Batangas -- A 35-year-old businessman was shot dead by three unidentified assailants while walking on his way home in Bgy. Palico Saturday afternoon.

Town police chief Senior Insp. Domingo D. Ballesteros identified the slain businessman as Darell Reyes Rosano, 35, married, of Bgy. Opli, Alfonso, Cavite.
Ballesteros said that at 4:10 p.m. on June 24, 2017, the incident was reported thru telephone to the Tuy Municipal Police Station.
A team led by SPO4 Macario Ramos and duty investigators Detectives PO2 Julius Casal Macalalad and PO2 Jayson Bueno Matanguihan were dispatched to the crime scene.
Investigation showed that at 4 p.m. Saturday, the victim was walking on his way home in Sitio Palico, Bgy. Luntal, when the three unidentified suspects on board a silver Mitsubishi Adventure suddenly appeared from behind and shot him repeatedly.
The suspects immediately escaped on board their vehicle.
The victim was rushed to Apacible Memorial District Hospital in Nasugbu town by his relatives, but was declared dead on arrival (DOA) by attending physician Dr. Soly Pisando.
Investigators recovered two empty shell casings for cal.. 45 pistol at the scene.
The body of the victim now lies at the St. Peter Funeral morgue.
