MARIA AURORA, Aurora-- A remote village in Bgy. Villa here finally gets electricity after 52 years.

“We have now 24-hour supply of electricity benefiting almost 1,000 villagers,” said Bgy. Villa chairman Henry A. Padilla, adding they have waited for this moment since 1996.

Aurora Rep. Bellaflor Angara-Castillo and Vice Governor Rommel Angara led the ceremonial switch on, with the assistance of Aurora Electric Cooperative (Aurelco) Inc. president Eduardo Yambot, at the Villa Aurora Covered Court.

“This P10-million project is through the efforts of Vice Governor Angara,“ Padilla said.
