Army sarge, wife found dead with gunshot each

A technical sergeant of the Philippine Army (PA) and his wife were found dead with a gunshot wound each
inside their house at 217 GK Village, Bgy. Tuntungin Putho, Los Baños, Laguna, on Saturday afternoon.

A report submitted to acting Laguna police director Senior Supt. Cecilio Ison Jr. by Supt. Arvin
Avelino, Los Baños police chief, identified the victims as T/Sgt. Pedro Talandron, 53, and his wife
Rowena, 45.
Police said T/Sgt. Talandron was assigned at the Engineering Department of Camp Eldridge, Bgy.
Lalakay, Los Baños. He sustained a gunshot wound in the temple while his wife was hit at the lower neck
when found bloodied and sprawled inside their house.
According to Supt. Avelino, around 2:30 p.m., only the couple were inside the house when the
shooting incident happened.
Investigation showed that earler, the victims’ neighbors reportedly heard a heated altercation
between the victims for unknown reason.
Minutes later, according to police, they heard two successive gunshots.
“Hindi pa namin masabi ang motibo ng pangyayari habang masusi pang iniimbestigahan pa ito, na
posibleng binaril muna ng mister ang asawa saka ito nagbaril sa sarili,” Avelino said.
Investigators found at the crime scene two empty shells for the service firearms of T/Sgt.
