8 held, P.164-M drugs seized in GenTri

GENERAL Trias City, Cavite -- A Drug Enforcement Team of the city police seized P1,164,000 worth of shabu during simultaneous buy-bust operations in its no let-up campaign against illegal drugs here.

Supt. Paul Bometivo, General Trias Component City Police Station officer-in-charge (OIC), reported to Cavite police director Senior Supt. William Mongas Segun that eight suspects listed as street-level targets were nabbed in three buy-bust operations in Sitio Sampalucan, Bgy. Pasong Camachile 2, and Bgy. San Francisco, in a span of eight hours operation from September 11 to 12, 2018.

On Sept. 11 at 6 p.m., members of the Drug Enforcement Team, in coordination with PDEA-4A arrested Randy Taway Vargas, 37, jobless, of Country Meadow Subd., Bgy. San Francisco, GenTri; and Pedro Oraña Lazaga, 36, sales agent, of Sto. Domingo, Bay, Laguna; Myla dela Cruz Cervantes, 32, jobless,  and Jervic Waminal Saguindao, 35, housekeeper, both of Sitio Ilang, Bgy. San Francisco, GenTri, at Tropical Village Pabahay 2000. Confiscated during the buy bust were seven transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 24 grams with street value of P150,000 and the buy-bust money.

At 7 p.m., the team moved to Tropical Village Pabahay in Bgy. San Francisco and arrested Dimarao Tangao Bangon, alias Dima (street-level target watchlist), 46, jobless, of San Agustin 1, Dasmariñas City. Confiscated from the suspect were five transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing about 155 grams with street value of P1,007,500 and a total of P900 bills in buy-bust money

As early as 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 12, the operating team executed buy-bust operation in Sitio Sampalukan, Pasong Camachille 2, where they arrested Marissa Silangga Gonzales, alias Marissa, 36, jobless; Jomerl Arcon Dumandan, 33, tricycle driver; and Gellie Lumbreras Primero, 35, jobless, all of Pasong Camachille 2, GenTri. Confiscated from the suspects  were six transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu worth P6,500 and buy bust money.

They were brought to General Trias Police Station for the filing of criminal complaint for violation of Secs. 5 and 11, Art. 2 of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002” and violation of PD 1602 (illegal gambling) while the confiscated pieces of evidence were submitted to PNP Crime Laboratory Office for chemical analysis. The buy-bust operation was done properly in coordination with barangay officials in the area.

GenTri Mayor Antonio A. Ferrer and his brother, Cong. Luis Ferrer IV, commended the operatives of the anti-drug enforcement team of General Trias police for a job well done.
