8 cellphone, tablet thieves arrested

BAUAN, Batangas -- Eight suspected thieves were arrested by authorities here for possession of stolen
cellphones and tablets worth P39,800 in Bgy. Locloc, at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Town police head Chief Insp. Alfie M. Salang identified the suspects as Francis Anacin Itis,
36, single, service crew, of Minalabac, Camarines Sur; Patrick Salceda Abugadi, 25, single, of San
Lazaro, Manila; Crisanto Alejo Andor, 40; John Carlo Espiritu Iduhan, 21, both single; Sonia Peñaflor
Cordoña, 39, single, of Kamuning, Quezon City; Justine Bersabal Monez, 23, married, painter, of 138
Ermin Garcia St.; Joseph Dumagete Apolo, 39, single, jobless, of Bgy. Sacred Heart; Vincent Lester
Cortes Sulapas, single, extra crowd talent, of  11 Jamboree, Bgy. Sacred Heart, all in QC; and the
victims as A. Matias Luistro Castillo, 72, married, and Benjo Ramos Garcia, 19, single.
    
Detectives PO2 Louie Angelo D. Manalo and PO1 Ronner Herman C. Alzate said the victims, along
with barangay officials turned over the eight suspects to the police station.

Police will file charges against the arrested suspects who were detained at the police holding cell.
