6 busted for shabu in Lucena

LUCENA City -- Police accosted six persons for possession of illegal drugs during two separate drug buy-bust operations in Bgys. 4 and Ibabang Dupay, here, yesterday.

City police director Senior Supt. Arturo Brual identified the arrested suspects as Gilbert Sabio, alias Bibeth; John Isidore Campita, alias Pocs; Rodel Manzilla and Jayson Garcia, alias Pusa, all of Purok Maligaya, Bgy. Ibabang Dupay; Mark Lee and Ian Bataclan, both of Bgy. 4.

Brual said the operation at Bgy. Ibabang Dupay resulted in the confiscation of 11 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 2.30 grams of suspected shabu, drug paraphernalia and a P500 bill used by the police operatives during the operation.

At Bgy. 4, Brual said the policemen seized nine plastic sachets containing 8.71 grams of suspected illegal drugs and a marked P500 bill.

He said Sabio, Lee and Bataclan were collared after handing suspected shabu to the policemen who acted as poseur-buyers, while Campita, Manzilla and Garcia were arrested in the act of sniffing shabu at a pot session.
The pieces of evidence were brought to Quezon PNP Provincial Crime Laboratory for examination while the suspects were detained at the Lucena City custodial facility.
