LEMERY, Batangas -- At least five persons filed a complaint before the town police station against a man for not remitting insurance and business requirements payments, here, the other day.
Lemery Municipal Police Station investigators SPO1 Mark Gil de Sagun Ortiz, PO1s Marcelo V. de Leos and Benedict Eguia identified the victims as Carlos Tome Marinduque, 68, married, businessman; Eugenio Macunat Lincallo, 51, married, dressmaker; Francia Aquino Pesigan, 56, dressmaker; Marilyn Buan Macalalad, 40, all residents of Bgy. Bagong Sikat, this town; and Emma Marinduque Morales, 63, married, businesswoman, of Bgy. Halang, Taal, all in Batangas.
Police identified the suspect as Ferzie Guerrero Figuracion, 37, married, of Bgy. Ayao-Iyao, Lemery.
According to the victims, from January 2017 to October 2017 they entrusted Figuracion the payment of their life insurances and their SSS, Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth and processing of their business requirements, comprising their income tax returns and land titles with a total amount of P352,000.
The victims told investigators that they oftentimes asked the suspect about the payment receipts for their life insurance but would only tell them that he forgot to bring the receipts.
The victims said they already have suspicion about the reaction of the suspect so they personally check them at the life insurance office.
They later found out that the suspect did not remit their payments and also their business requirements payments for processing in Marinduque, prompting them to file a complaint against him.
