FOUR persons, including a policeman, were killed while eight others were injured after two tricycles
were hit by a speeding 10-wheeler truck in Tanauan, Batangas, yesterday morning.
Report reaching the Public Commuters Motorists Alliance (PCMA) said the victims were all
declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The police victim was reportedly assigned at Camp Vicente Lim in Laguna.
The identities of the victims were still unavailable pending police investigation into the
Tanauan police head Supt. Rene Mercado said the truck driver allegedly lost control of the
steering wheel at Bgy. Natatas before the vehicle crashed and ran over the tricycles.
The families of the victims are appealing to the truck owner for burial assistance as well
hospital and medical assistance for the injured victims.
